HELLO!

It's so great and awesome to meet you, and I'm so honored you're here. Welcome to MY DOMAIN! Here you will find lots, including but not limited to my portfolio, art / film projects, cool resources, and much more! Anyway,

WHO IS THIS GUY?

My name is Byrd Barber (he/they)! I am an artist and filmmaker with my main goal being to use multimedia film as a means to display the wonders of Earth’s incredible biodiversity through radically creative fiction. This is how I describe myself on scholarship essays. Give me your wallet! I also just like to make little movies about weird people and math. :-)

Some of my other interests include drawing, physical media (records!!), reading every single book ever, and bugs. I have a pet corn snake named Pixie who I love dearly! Enough of all that though,

WHAT'S THIS FOR???

Everything! More specifically, this will mainly serve as a portfolio and directory for all films / long-term projects. Commissions as well. I want to make as many things as possible! Expect this site to be updated a lot right now, especially as I actually learn more about html / css / javascript lol. I 100% took the code for the moveable image from W3Schools. :-) Thank you resources!!

Inevitably there will be somewhere I start talking about my interests and causes I find important too. Lalalalala. With all that said,

WHY A WEBSITE?!?!??

I am super duper optimistic about the internet being a wonderful, creative place for connection and communication. For that to be the case, though, it's gotta be owned by the PEOPLE!!! YEAHHH!!! That's why I've come to love the indie web and all that.

Do you have a website? No? Make one!!!! Nowhere near an expert, but I'm doing it anyway! It's very refreshing when compared to social media. There's tons of free tutorials and kind, dedicated people who share tips.

Everything is on the menu to your left (or above for my phone people... still working on that). I hope you enjoy!
